Bidding disclosures

Effective for all live bidding on Home Deals USA. Incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.

Important — how winning works

Credits are purchased separately from any project. Every accepted bid uses credits. If you become the winning homeowner, you must also pay the displayed Final Winning Price before your project is fulfilled.

Credits Used + Winning Price + Taxes + Approved upgrades = Total Amount Due

Funding threshold: each auction must reach a minimum funding threshold to be awarded. If an auction closes below that threshold, no project is awarded and all credits spent on it are refunded to your wallet automatically.

1. Credits

Credits are a purchased right to participate in Home Deals USA live events. Credits are not currency, are not redeemable for cash, and are non-transferable between accounts. Every accepted bid consumes a fixed number of credits published on the deal page before the event opens.

Unused credits remain in your wallet and may be applied to future eligible events. Refund eligibility is described in section 6.

2. The Final Winning Price

Every live event closes at a Final Winning Price — the last accepted bid price when the countdown expires. The Final Winning Price is separate from and in addition to the credits used while bidding. Winning homeowners pay the Final Winning Price to receive the awarded project.

Total project cost = Credits Used + Final Winning Price + Applicable Taxes + Any approved upgrades or work outside the published package.

3. Taxes

Sales tax, use tax, and any applicable state or local taxes are calculated on the Final Winning Price at the time of payment and are the responsibility of the winning homeowner.

4. Property verification & eligibility

Every package specifies eligibility requirements — property type, jurisdiction, structural fit, measurement thresholds, and homeowner status. Winning bidders must pass verification and inspection before fulfillment. If the property does not qualify for the package, the win is void and the Final Winning Price (if paid) is refunded per section 6. Credits used during bidding are not refunded in a not-eligible outcome unless the deal itself is cancelled.

5. Package scope & approved upgrades

Each deal publishes package inclusions, exclusions, and material tier before bidding opens. Work outside the published scope — structural repair, code upgrades, homeowner-requested premium materials — is quoted separately as an approved upgrade and is not included in the Final Winning Price.

5a. Auction funding threshold

Every auction has a minimum funding threshold that must be reached before a project can be awarded. The threshold reflects what is required to fund and fulfill the project at the final bid price.

If an auction closes without meeting the required funding threshold for purchase, the auction is void: no project is awarded, no winner is declared, and no Final Winning Price is charged. All credits spent on that auction by every bidder are automatically refunded to their wallets, and those credits can be used immediately on any other auction. Refunds are automatic — no request is required — and each bidder receives an in-app notice and an email confirming the credits returned and the time of the refund.

Home Deals USA does not disclose the internal threshold amount for an auction while bidding is open.

6. Refunds

Unused credits in your wallet are refundable to the original payment method within the window disclosed in your credit purchase receipt, less any promotional bonus credits and applicable processing fees.

Credits used on accepted bids are not refundable except when the deal itself is cancelled by Home Deals USA, in which case the credits used on that deal are restored to your wallet.

Final Winning Price payments are refunded in full if the property fails eligibility verification through no fault of the homeowner.

7. Project assignment

Home Deals USA assigns each awarded package to a licensed contractor in its network operating in the applicable service region. The homeowner enters into the fulfillment agreement directly with the assigned contractor.

8. Prohibited participation

Home Deals USA employees, assigned contractors, house accounts, and automated bidding tools are prohibited from participating in live events. Violations void wins and result in account termination.

9. Changes to disclosures

When we materially change these disclosures we publish a new version and prompt you to re-acknowledge before your next credit purchase or bid. Prior acknowledged versions remain part of your account audit record.
